I live in the far southwest corner of Virginia and would love to take the Amtrak to other spots in the country, but no Amtrak stations near me. Closest one to me is Richmond which is almost a 5 hour drive for me. Could Virginia tourism please see about getting a closer Amtrak stop, say Roanoke?? please, please
My family took an awesome trip to Williamsburg last year in the train. You definitely don’t need to rent a car, there is a a shuttle you can pick up a few blocks away that goes to the hotels and everywhere else you want to go.
